🔷 I was recently made redundant from an audiology role so with a view to starting research on available positions I posted some information about this on linkedin to begin my new job hunt. Julie from Sensory Audiology reached out and offered to help within a matter of hours of my linkedin open to work post going live. Julie is really friendly and reassuring and with her help I was able to rewrite my now dated CV specifically for the requirements of a hearing aid dispensing role. I provided Julie with my requirements for work and she was very quickly able to offer up various positions that would suitable for my needs. I was, for the most part, expecting this to be the end of our contact as this is usually how it goes with any recruitment agency. However Julie kept in close contact and scheduled in meetings with me before each interview or recruitment stage and was able to brief me on what I should expect along the way. As a direct result I felt more prepared for the various assessments and interviews than I have ever felt which went along way to giving me the confidence I needed to put my best foot forward in my interviews. The process of being made redundant is very unnerving and scary, but within just two weeks of my initial conversation with Julie I had not only found a replacement position, but a much better one that I am really excited with!
